IN COMPETITION...
Continuing her tradition of local excellence, Jeanie has won another award in the annual Voices of Lincoln poetry competition. Her poem "Three Wishes" won third place in the Three Wishes category (no joke!).
Winners of the contest read their winning entries at an awards ceremony and will be receiving published copies of the annual chapbook. Jeanie also co-edited the chapbook before it went to press, the fourth year in a row she was tasked to oversee the collection which includes all the winning entries and information about the categories and placement of each poem.

ONE FOR CHARITY
Recently, Jeanie did a book reading for the St. Vincent de Paul Society and donated a portion of book sales to the charity in support of the needy people of Lincoln, CA where she currently lives. The reading went well and quite a few books were sold, generating much-needed dollars for this worthy cause.
